WorkSkills is a new BTEC qualification that has been developed after discussions with employers, training providers, schools and colleges.
The aim of WorkSkills is to deliver the skills that will help you gain and retain a job. The format builds on the skills already taught in schools and colleges, and offers the opportunity to recognise these skills with a formal BTEC qualification.
WorkSkills looks at developing work placements, interview techniques, teamwork and vocational skills, as well as the soft skills that employers look for, such as adaptability, eagerness to learn, and a can-do attitude.
WorkSkills will help improve your employability. It will also show employers that you are keen to take steps to enable career progression.
